Baked Macaroni w/ Tomato Sauce, Bacon, & Cheese

I made another crazy simple yummy meal tonight. Let's see how it adds up.


3/4 lb. Elbow Macaroni - $0.67
1T veggie oil - $0.05
1/4 lb. Bacon - $1.17
2 ounces shredded Mozzarella cheese - $0.23
1 can Crushed Tomatoes w/ Basil - $1.99
1 clove garlic - $0.05
1/2 loaf French Bread from Target...(oops) - $.0.75

Instructions: Boil large saucepan of water. Meanwhile, cook bacon with oil on low heat until crispy. Add noodles to water, boil 8 minutes. Dump mac. into 8 inch glass casserole dish. Drizzle crushed tomatoes, with minced garlic, onto mac, covering. Drop crushed up bacon on top, then shredded cheese. Cover with aluminum foil, try not to actually touch the cheese with the foil, else it will stick to the foil. Bake in over 25-30 minutes on 350.

Total Cost of Meal for 2 adults, 1 child, 1 lunch worth of leftovers: $4.91
